A Simple Life in Japan: Food, Health, and Happiness at 61

live in Sendai, Japan, with my wife, enjoying a simple and meaningful life.

We spend our time exploring local food, small restaurants, and everyday moments that make life rich.

Not luxury—just real happiness, built little by little.

I am 61 years old, turning 62 soon.

Three years ago, I made a life-changing decision: I quit drinking.

Since then, I’ve been focusing on my health and daily habits.

I train twice a week, slowly building strength.

Recently, I reached a 70kg lift—and now I’m aiming for 75kg by summer.

Life doesn’t stop as you get older.

In fact, it becomes more meaningful when you take care of your body and mind.

This blog shares real life in Japan—

not tourist spots, but everyday culture, food, habits, and mindset.

Together with my wife, we enjoy food, stay healthy, and build a life we truly enjoy.

I also share my fitness journey on TikTok, where I document my training and progress step by step.
