During my visit to Miyagi Prefecture, I had the chance to stop by a very unique shrine called Kanahebi Shrine.

This shrine is famous for worshipping snakes, which are considered symbols of wealth and good fortune in Japan.
Especially the white snake is believed to bring financial luck, and many visitors come here hoping to improve their fortune.
One of the most interesting parts was the omikuji (fortune slips).
They were designed in the shape of snakes, making them both charming and symbolic.
There were also snake-themed amulets, especially white snake charms believed to enhance financial luck.
The shrine was quite lively, with many visitors enjoying the spiritual atmosphere.

In May, the shrine becomes even more beautiful with seasonal flowers and a special festival.
During my visit, the floral decorations added a peaceful and refreshing feeling to the space.
I also received a Goshuin (temple stamp), which made the experience even more meaningful.
It was a calm, refreshing, and spiritually fulfilling time.
If you are traveling in Miyagi, this shrine is definitely worth visiting.
