After three years of growing asparagus,
I was finally able to harvest it.
It takes time and patience, but this year the plants were strong enough to produce edible spears.

■From garden to plate
Seeing the asparagus come out of the soil was already exciting.
But harvesting and cooking it made it even more rewarding.
Fresh asparagus has a completely different texture and flavor compared to store-bought ones.
■Simple cooking is the best
This time, I made a simple dish:
👉 bacon-wrapped asparagus
Just wrap the fresh asparagus with bacon and cook it.
That’s it.
No complicated seasoning needed.

■The taste
The result was incredible.
The asparagus was fresh, slightly sweet, and full of flavor.
Combined with the savory bacon, it became a perfect dish.

■Why growing your own food matters
This experience reminded me:
👉 Growing food takes time
👉 But the reward is worth it
After 3 years, that first bite feels completely different.

■Summary
- 3 years of growth before harvesting
- Fresh, homegrown asparagus
- Simple bacon recipe
- Amazing taste
■Final thoughts
There’s something special about eating what you grow yourself.
It’s not just food — it’s the result of time, effort, and patience.
